ACR 9490.1 Hydro Release

When submerged in water between 5-13 ft. (1.5 – 4 m), the HydroFix will disengage the rod allowing the Category 1 bracket to release the EBIRB. ACR has designed a patent pending release rod system, which does not depend on a battery, sharp blade, or a pyrotechnic device to release the beacon. This advantage allows ACR to offer an HRU that is individually tested to ensure that the HydroFix is the most reliable HRU in an emergency situation. All HydroFix units are tested to the same high standards and quality workmanship you have come to expect from ACR over the past 50 years. ACR’s HydroFix is now part of the standard replacement kit for the following EPIRBs* and brackets: Satellite 406 (Closed and Open Face Brackets) Model: RLB-27 P/N 2754/2756/ 2772 Satellite2 406 Model: RLB-32 P/N 2774 RapidFix 406 Model: RLB-33 P/N 2776 GlobalFix 406 Model: RLB-35 P/N 2742 Sea Shelter P/N 9327 Sea Shelter2 *Not for use with RLB-23 406 EPIRB (fully enclosed bracket) P/N 9435/9455
