Engine Compatibility
This pulley is associated with selected MerCruiser sterndrive and inboard V6/V8 applications that use the earlier brass-style seawater pump family tied to the superseded pulley numbers above. Some dealer fitment notes also connect it to 0.75-inch shaft seawater pump assemblies and older 19972002 MerCruiser seawater pump applications. Exact fitment should always be confirmed by engine model and serial number before ordering.

Serial Number Fitment Notice
Please confirm compatibility in the Mercury Parts Catalog using your exact engine serial number before purchase. Mercurys catalog is organized by model and serial number for accurate parts lookup.

When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace this pulley when the original is bent, worn, corroded, damaged at the belt surface, or being renewed during seawater pump service. Because it is part of the belt-driven raw-water pump system, pulley condition matters for proper belt tracking and pump operation. This is a practical service inference based on the parts documented role as a seawater pump pulley.

Installation Notes
Install only the exact pulley specified for the pump assembly being serviced. Since this part has multiple earlier pulley numbers tied to similar seawater pump setups, serial-number confirmation is the safest way to avoid mismatch. It is sold as the pulley only, so inspect related pump and belt components during service.

Parts Desk Insight
On belt-driven MerCruiser cooling systems, a seawater pump pulley is one of those parts that often gets overlooked until belt wear or pump service brings it into view. Matching the exact OEM pulley helps keep alignment and pump speed where Mercury intended.
