Rapala X-Rap Otus 25 – Hot Tiger Pike

The Rapala X-Rap Otus is a hybrid swimbait designed to bridge hardbody performance with the lifelike motion of a soft-tail bait. Rapala’s XRap construction combined with a color-matched curl tail produces a slow-sinking, wide-wafting action that keeps the lure in the strike windowideal for cold-water musky and pike presentations.

Key Features

• XRap Construction: Rigid ABS body with pronounced body roll that triggers strikes from large predators.
• Curl Tail Action: Oversized soft PVC curl tail creates a parachuting effect on pauses and a wide pulsing wake; replacement tail included and secured with a 6point stainless plate.
• Durable Hardware: Fitted with VMC Coastal Black treble hooks and a robust tail-locking plate to withstand hard strikes and repeated use.

Use the XRap Otus along edges, emerging weeds, and over shallow rock or wood where musky and pike hunt. The slow sink and wafting tail excel in cold or pressured water; on the pause the tail parachutes to stabilize the bait and trigger follows. Rapala built the Otus for reliable big-bait action and longevity so anglers can present large offerings without sacrificing lifelike motion.

Available models include the XROU17 (63/4″, 13/8 oz) and XROU25 (93/4″, 33/16 oz). Running depth is approximately 1’3′. Pair the Otus with heavy-action musky rods, stout braided line and a fluorocarbon leader for best results. Rapala’s XRap Otus is compatible with standard treble-hook rigs and other big-bait setups.
