Rapala X-Rap Otus 25 Peacock

The Rapala X-Rap Otus is a hard bait engineered for cold-water and challenging conditions, combining Rapala’s signature X-Rap construction with a large wafting curl tail to entice big predator fish. Available in two sizes 17 (6-3/4″ / 1-3/8 oz) and 25 (9-3/4″ / 3-3/16 oz) the Otus offers a slow sink rate and pronounced body roll that makes it ideal for musky, pike and other large gamefish.

Key Features

• Wafting Curl Tail: Large soft PVC curl tail produces a wide pulsing action and acts as a parachute when paused for slow, enticing presentations.
• Durable Tail Lock: 6-point stainless plate secures the tail for long-lasting performance under heavy strikes.
• Ready-to-Fish Hardware: Fitted with VMC Coastal Black treble hooks and includes a replacement tail for extended field life.
• Slow Sink & Body Roll: Designed to swim with a side-to-side roll that triggers strikes from lethargic fish in cold water.

Rapala built the X-Rap Otus to present a large-profile hard bait slowly through the water column, making it a top choice for cold-water fishing and anglers targeting musky and other large predators. Use the Otus on heavy rod/reel setups with braided line and a strong leader or wire for toothy species. The VMC Coastal Black hooks add improved corrosion resistance for inshore use when paired with appropriate terminal tackle.

Specifications: Size 17 6-3/4″ (1-3/8 oz); Size 25 9-3/4″ (3-3/16 oz). The Rapala X-Rap Otus pairs well with strong snaps, swivels and multi-strand leaders for targeting big predator gamefish.
