Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Scandi Head – Black/Willow

Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Scandi Head – Black/Willow is a floating Scandi shooting head built for trout Spey, light steelhead, and small-stream two-handed fishing. Designed for delicate presentations and quick line control, this Spey head helps anglers cast smaller flies with precision while maintaining the smooth turnover needed for soft hackles, light streamers, and long-leader dry-fly work. The Black/Willow color scheme and textured marker make it easy to identify the casting point on the water.

Key Features

• Delicate Scandi taper: Longer front taper delivers softer presentations for trout Spey and light steelhead applications.
• Short head design: Promotes quick casting, easy line management, and efficient performance in tighter river corridors.
• Cold-water core: Braided multifilament core is designed for moderate and cold climates where consistent handling matters.

Scientific Anglers developed the Spey Lite series for anglers who want the advantages of Spey casting without oversized, heavy systems. This head is ideal on shorter two-handed rods and can also be used on select single-hand setups with a shooting line. It pairs well with floating or intermediate polyleaders, Versileaders, and compatible shooting lines for a versatile freshwater system.

Whether you are riffling dries for spring steelhead, swinging soft hackles, or fishing light streamers for trout, Scientific Anglers gives you a compact, easy-casting line system that performs in tight quarters. For anglers looking for a refined floating Spey head with reliable control and delicate turnover, the Scientific Anglers Spey Lite Scandi Head is a proven choice.
